Alexander Grimes is the principal viola of the Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra. After graduating from Vanderbilt University, he attended New England Conservatory where he studied with acclaimed soloist Dmitri Murrath. Alexander is an active orchestral and chamber musician. Recent appearances have  included the Seattle Symphony, Seattle Chamber Music Society, Twelfth Night Ensemble, and Caroga Lake Music Festival. In addition to his career as an instrumentalist, Alexander is also a composer.  He recently completed a Masters of Film Scoring at the Berklee School of Music.
